The heartbeat of Hilltop Legacy has always been our volunteers. As John C. Maxwell says “Nothing of significance was ever achieved by an individual acting alone.” The reality is that most people want to “Be The Change”, but don’t have the time or effective volunteering platform. With our Volunteer platform:
– You can make meaningful connections
– Your contribution can shift perspectives
– You’ll leave refreshed
– The kids will leave loved, happy and hopeful
– The program is set, you only have to arrive
– We do a huddle/training before each session to equip you with tools needed
We believe in the power of prayer. We invite you to partner with us as we seek wisdom to do what God needs us to do. Inspiring HOPE and Awakening Potential doesn’t come cheap and hence our gratitude for every Rand, Dollar, Euro or Pound we receive. We are always eager to support new, and unique, fundraising initiatives. We aim to have plenty of fundraising events a year in running, cycling and golfing events and art auctions. THE HILLTOP STORY
Hilltop Legacy is a Non Profit Company (NPC) who partners with corporations, schools, communities and individuals to raise leaders and strive for quality education, with an emphasis on godly values and to inspire hope. We do this through networking, developing strategic partnerships, systems, processes and resources that will ensure positive change through schools in poorer communities in Paarl. A big emphasis is placed on parent involvement, teacher support and student development. We have various community development initiatives which vary from Coaching Athletes, Afrikaans and English Reading Interventions, Mathematics Intervention, an all-encompassing Afterschool Care program and a High School Mentorship program.
HILLTOP INITIATIVES
Hilltop Runners
This coaching initiative exists to create a safe, accepting and mentoring environment for athletes to dream and develop a healthy identity in Paarl-East and South Africa.
After-school-care
The dream is to provide After School Care to inspire hope for kids who are at risk between the time they finish school, and the time their parents get home from work.
Academic Intervention
Many children lack a foundation in learning. We therefore focus on reading, comprehension and mathematics.

HOW ARE WE INVOLVED
Stoffel van Zyl | Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board
Stoffel is the owner and chairman of Christopher Group. He is a firm believer that every person has the potential for greatness, and it is in his heart to develop this potential. Stoffel and Jako Pienaar founded Hilltop Legacy in 2014, with the focus to assist schools to become sustainable and succeed in the long run. Stoffel has a desire to help people, and in the end, help them help themselves.
