Christopher Consulting, a litigation funding company, does not handle the actual litigation process. We provide specialised medico-legal expertise to assist with the investigation and evaluation of possible claims, fund medico-legal, and other expert reports and assist with the evaluation and interpretation thereof.

Once a case has been approved by Christopher Consulting, the attorney is ensured of a risk-free arrangement with us.

We provide funding for the substantial costs involved in the lengthy litigation process, ensuring access to the best possible legal and medico-legal representation. If you, as an attorney, have clients who have been affected by medical negligence, you can refer the matters to us for further investigation.

• You will be requested to provide us with supporting documents and further information.
• Initial fee: Further information will be evaluated by us, and if we accept the matter, you will receive an initial fixed, non-refundable amount for providing supporting documents and information.
• If we determine that the matter has a reasonable prospect of success, we may appoint your firm to conduct the litigation. In this instance, we sign a service level agreement detailing, amongst others, an attractive fee arrangement. The arrangement combines the initial fee & beneficial fee and a further without risk agreed fee.
• We will fund all the expenses and disbursements during the litigation process. We are a litigation funding company and not bound by the Contingency Fees Act 66 of 1997. We sign a straightforward commercial funding fee agreement with clients to fund their matters.
• If you are not interested in conducting the litigation, we will instruct one of our panel attorneys, specialising in medical negligence, to attend to the matter.
